Pool of Siloam excavation update May 2023

After years of waiting to excavate the larger area around the Pool of Siloam, archaeologists are dealing with a major disappointment. The rest of the pool didn’t show up in the first months of digging! That’s the reality of digging up the past. Here’s a short video that explains why the rest of the stones of Siloam aren’t where we’d hoped … and why this disappointment does nothing to negate the reality of the pool.
