The study of pollen (plant pollen), a subfield within archaeobotany. The outer shell of the pole has been preserved for thousands of years (though it is empty inside). By collecting soil samples (usually from water bodies), passing them through a centrifuge and examining them under a microscope, it is possible to reconstruct the ancient flora in the area of the find, as well as create a profile of the environment, climate conditions, etc.
