Zoan

Zoan, also known as Tanis, was an ancient Egyptian city located in the eastern delta of the Nile, near the modern city of San el-Hagar. It was the capital of Egypt during the 21st and 22nd dynasties, and it was known for its wealth and importance. The city was built on the site of an older capital called Everis, which was conquered by the Egyptians from the Hyksos. In the end, Tanis was abandoned and fell into ruins, but it is the subject of an archaeological excavation in modern times.
