The sentence was discovered on a comb made of ivory in excavations in the Canaanite city of Lachish. In the past, Canaanite inscriptions of only a few words were discovered in the Land of Israel, but to this day no inscriptions of considerable significance have been found, some researchers claim that this is the earliest complete sentence ever found in the alphabet in general and in the Canaanite language in particular
