Dr. Yosef Garfinkel presented “Excavating Biblical Ziklag/Khirbetel-Rai” as part of the Lynn H. Wood Archaeological Museum Lecture Series at Southern Adventist University on November 7, 2022.

Professor Yosef Grafinkel is Israel’s leading archaeologist and head of the Institute of Archaeology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has published nearly 40 books and hundreds of peer-reviewed articles and has held fellowships at Sorbonne University in Paris, the University of Cambridge in England, and Yale University and Harvard University in the United States. He has organized exhibitions at Sorbonne University, the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem, and the Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. He has been a partner of several excavations with Southern Adventist University including Khirbet Qeiyafa and the Fourth Expedition to Lachish.
