Hadrach

A Syrian-Anatolian royal city located on a site known today as Tel Apis in northern Syria. It began in prehistoric times and the Bronze Age. In the Iron Age, it was the capital of a kingdom known in the inscription as Khazar or Khatrika, the capital of the kingdom of Lahti or Leash. The name Haderach is mentioned in the book of Zechariah together with Damascus and is associated with this city. The city was conquered in 738 BC by the Assyrians.
